School Site Council Role
The SSC is an elected body responsible primarily for developing, approving, and monitoring the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
- The SPSA is a strategic plan that outlines specific and measurable goals at the school site with the intention of increasing student achievement. It aligns with the district’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) process as they both support the continuous cycles of action, reflection, and improvement.
The SSC analyzes data from the site Comprehensive Needs Assessment, which includes state and local data,
The SSC must operate according to applicable state and federal laws and guidelines, district policy, and school site by-laws. This includes providing recommendations related to the school’s Title 1 program.
