Principal
Welcome Message
Dear College View Families and Community,
It is with great gratitude and excitement that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year. I am honored to serve as the principal of College View Elementary School and grateful for the opportunity to join a community with a strong commitment to its students. I have already experienced the dedication of our staff, the pride of our families, and the care this community has for its children. As a mother of four daughters and grandmother of two grandsons, I understand how much trust families place in the people who educate and care for their children.
I believe strong schools begin with relationships. Every child deserves to be known, valued, challenged, and supported. When students feel connected to their school and know the adults around them believe in their potential, they are more willing to take risks, work through challenges, and discover what they are capable of achieving.
I loved being a teacher because of the difference I could make for the children in my classroom. I was drawn to school leadership because it gave me the opportunity to support the work of educators and partner with families across an entire school community. I believe meaningful growth happens one step at a time. Whether a child is developing as a reader, reaching a new goal, or gaining confidence, those daily accomplishments add up and can make a lasting difference.
Our name, College View, has special meaning for me. I was the first person in my family to attend college, and my own journey showed me how education can open doors and change what we see as possible for our future. College View offers a wonderful reminder of that idea: a view toward future possibilities.
From the earliest grades, we want our Wildcats to begin seeing those possibilities for themselves. Preparing children for the future begins here, with learning to set goals, ask questions, persevere when something is difficult, take pride in their growth, and discover where their strengths and interests may lead them. We want every Wildcat to leave College View prepared to take their next step with confidence.
Families are essential partners in a child's education. I value open communication and collaboration and look forward to working alongside our parents, caregivers, staff, and community. Together, we can build upon the strengths of College View and continue making it an exceptional place for children to learn and grow.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children. It is a responsibility and privilege I value deeply. I look forward to an incredible year together and to seeing all that our Wildcats will accomplish.
With gratitude,
Darlene Levine
